I. Game and Tool Development: Game and tool building occupy critical positions in the field of Digital Humanities and in this section, I highlight some of the projects I have worked on in the past that center around the process of creating tools that enhance the realm of humanities and bridge the alleged gap between that, art, and technology. It has often been debated whether game building should fall within the realm of DH, but the examples here in this section prove that games are as much a product of code as they are of stylistic choices, and humanistic thought.
II. Digital Media and Content Generation: Media and content generation have become increasingly popular as the field of Digital Arts continues to grow and intersect with the more conventional Digital Humanities. Such content can be in the form of films, photographs, journalism, etc. With old and new technologies such as Balsamiq, Figma, Photoshop, etc, becoming widely used, there is a lot of room for experts in the field of content generation and access to these tools has never been easier. The purpose of this thread is to inform and influence its audience and the examples I have provided in this section of my works are meant to impact the field and its participants in ways similar to that.
III. Data Analysis: While often considered the more quantitative, number-driven, and mathematical part of Digital Humanities, data analysis leaves a lot of room for creativity and artistic freedom as well. What data is to be analyzed, how to go about obtaining that data, what tools to use for analysis, how to represent the analyzed data, are all questions that can draw a wide range of responses and the methodology adopted ultimately depends on the analyst. There needs to be a fine balance between data for aesthetics and data for information provision and the projects that I have worked on pertaining to data analysis serve as exemplifications of such a balance.
